Cavalry Day at the Curragh is an annual event that takes place on the first Saturday in September. This is one of the rare occasions when the general public get to see and take pictures of the army's fine collection of preserved armoured vehicles that were in service with the Irish army. Most of the vehicles have been completely restored to running order and take part in a parade giving visitors plenty of opportunities to take pictures and videos.
